Every
day innocent persons are arrested, convicted and incarcerated for crimes they did not do. Most of those unfortunate arrests are by police officers who violated the Civil Rights of innocent persons in order to get a conviction.
For 25 years I wrote and taught police training classes. I started each of those classes with the following statement, "police officers will never, never violate the Civil Rights of another human being."
Several years ago I realized many of my police students ignored my instructions because they frequently violated the Civil Rights of persons they arrested. To me these violations are not only illegal, but intolerable.
Today, in an attempt to correct their bad behavior I am devoting my time and energy to help innocent persons who should not be sitting in a jail cell. I am not an attorney, nor will I give you legal advice. What I will give is my analysis of all of the police documents of detainment, statements, confessions, eyewitness identification, arrest procedure in addition to others, based on 31 years experience as a police officer and trainer of police personnel.
For that innocent inmate I will review all of the law enforcement and/or police documents that pertain to the arrest in an effort to discover:
violations of police policy and procedure
violations of the arrested person's Civil Rights
I will provide accurate and quick answers on whether or not the inmate has a case against the arresting agency and the arresting officer.
